Referral Coordinator

Overview

Calvert Internal Medicine Group, a multi-specialty group practice in southern Maryland, is seeking a Referral Coordinator to join our business office. This position will process referral requests, DME orders, communicate professionally with patients, providers, and healthcare partners, collaborate with hospitals, infusion centers, and home health providers to coordinate patient care, review and monitor open referrals to ensure timely completion, pre-authorizations, and other various clerical duties in accordance with established policies and procedures. Certified Professional Coder

Overview

Calvert Internal Medicine Group, a multi-specialty group practice located in southern Maryland, seeks an experienced Certified Professional Coder to join our business office. This position will ensure accurate coding of medical records and billing processes. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and compliance standards to facilitate efficient healthcare operations. They will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services. They will ensure compliance with coding guidelines, payer policies, and federal regulations to support proper billing and reimbursement. Medical Coding Specialist

Overview

Calvert Internal Medicine Group seeks a Medical Coding Specialist to join our team! This position will enter patient charges, update accounts, and reconcile payments in accordance with established organizational and department policies and procedures. Duties include but are not limited to interpreting and coding appropriately from reports submitted by specialist providers; audits accounts and update patient demographics; processes billing to the patient and third-party companies, maintaining supporting documentation; solicits payment plans as required; keying data, posting transactions, and verifies the accuracy of input to reports generated; posts and reconciling payments to the ledger. This position requires an HS diploma or equivalent, Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. At least 3 years of previous medical billing and coding experience are required. Working knowledge of third-party claims and diagnostic coding to include ICD 9/10 and CPT coding, is required. Must have active medical coding certification (AAPC preferred).
