Job Description

At Calvert Internal Medicine Group, we know our people make the difference. We’re looking for compassionate and dependable full-time Medical Assistants to join our team. In this role, you’ll support providers in delivering high-quality care while building strong connections with patients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure a clean, safe environment
  • Perform clinical tasks such as vitals, venipuncture, PFTs, EKGs, injections, and point-of-care testing (Rapid Strep, Flu, glucose, and more)
  • Interview patients, record medical histories, reconcile medications, and document information in the EMR
  • Support providers during exams and treatments, assisting with procedures as needed
  • Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments, preparing intake forms, and requesting records
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, diets, and follow-up instructions
  • Work between offices and providers
  • Take on additional tasks to support the team as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, EMT-B, or EMT-1) strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical role (medical assistant, CNA, or similar) in a hospital or physician’s office
  • A caring, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with patients and providers alike

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy (MD or DO degree)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Two years of outpatient experience in Family or Internal Medicine
  • Maryland license preferred

Compensation

  • Salary: $230K - $250K
